Cynhyrchiad cymunedol o ‘faled radio’ bydd yn rhoi llais i synau, lleferydd a chaneuon trac hynafol: llwybr trwy Ein Cymdogaeth Werin y Preselau.

Rhaglen radio dwyieithog

Ffurfiwyd Cân y Ffordd Euraidd fel ymateb i'r prosiect Loteri Genedlaethol Treftadaeth, Ein Cymdogaeth Werin. Mae baled radio yn ddarn o waith clywedol estynedig sy’n plethu iaith lafar, sain amgylchynol, caneuon traddodiadol, a cherddoriaeth a geiriau newydd. Crëwyd y faled rhwng Mai a Hydref 2021 trwy gyfres o sgyrsiau, teithiau cerdded, cyfweliadau a gweithdai cerddoriaeth gan recordio deunydd ym mhob digwyddiad. Cynhaliwyd y digwyddiadau mewn gwahanol leoliadau o amgylch y Preselau a’r Ffordd Euraidd, enw a roddir i’r llwybr troed hynafol sy’n tramwyo crib mynyddoedd y Preselau. Mae’r faled derfynol sy’n awr o hyd wedi’i chreu o’r deunydd craidd dwfn a chyfoethog a recordiwyd, gan blethu bywydau ac ieithoedd byw ardal y Preselau at ei gilydd yn fedrus.Cynhyrchwyd mewn cydweithrediad â Chelfyddydau Span a PLANED.

A community produced ‘radio ballad’ giving voice to the sounds, speech and songs of an ancient trackway: a route through the Preseli Heartlands.

A bilingual radio programme

Song of the Golden Road was conceived in response to the National Lottery Heritage funded project Ein Cymdogaeth Werin. A radio ballad is an extended sound piece weaving together oral speech, ambient sound, traditional songs and newly created music and lyrics. The work was created between May and October 2021 through a series of talks, walks, interviews and music workshops with sound material recorded at each event. The events took place at different locations throughout the Preselis encircling the Golden Road, a name given to the ancient trackway that runs across the Preseli ridge. The final bilingual programme is an hour in length and draws from the rich and deep material recorded, skilfully weaving together the lived lives and languages of the Preseli area.
